Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio has surely lost the #FSUTwitter vote.
Rubio, who received his bachelor’s at University of Florida and his J.D. at Miami (FL), mercilessly trolled Florida State during an appearance on KXNO 1640 AM in Iowa. “Look, I don’t have anything against Florida State,” he started. “I think there has to be a school where people who can’t get into Florida can go to college.”
FSU president John Thrasher felt slighted, and retorted with an arguably superior burn. “He’s a nice kid,” Thrasher told the Tallahassee Democrat. “I’m sure he’s frustrated by his low standing in the polls, which I believe could be a reflection of where he got his education.
