Marcel Ozuna re-signs with Braves. The contract is for five years and $80 million. This comes as a bit of a surprise as Ozuna is really suited to be a designated hitter and not to play the field regularly. The DH may not come to the National League this season as the union and ownership continue to fight over something they both want but won’t or can’t agree upon.
Ozuna had a terrific 2020 season with the Braves as he led the National League in both home runs (18) and RBIs (56). He also batted .338 and had an OPS of 1.
