The Bible was written over a long period of time when the world was a scary place and a cold wind could kill your entire family in a week. Not surprisingly, there’s a lot in there that doesn’t exactly mesh with our modern understand of how the universe works, but from a morality standpoint, sure, the Bible isn’t a particularly horrific religious doctrine.
That being said, it’s still has a fair share of cringe-worthy passages about who and how certain human beings should be treated.
