Lorenzo Cain already missed three weeks this season with a left quad strain, and he appears to be heading back to the injured list with a right hamstring injury. The injury occurred when Cain made a catch on the run and made an awkward throw across his body in the seventh inning of Monday’s game against the Detroit Tigers. Cain was referred for an MRI to determine the severity of his injury.

Cain has been more productive since returning from the quad injury, batting .250 with 12 runs, five runs batted in, and two stolen bases in 76 at-bats, but he remains on the wrong side of career averages.
