Utah-based personal trainer Shannon Freeman-Frogge has honored Lauren Hill with a brick outside the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame that appropriately reads “Lauren Hill Hero.”
According to the Indy Star, Freeman-Frogge never met Hill, but was a huge supporter of her’s. Hill passed away in April at 19 after a high-profile battle with brain cancer; her fight captivated Americans as she simultaneously fulfilled her dream of playing college basketball for Mount St. Joseph College.
“She was a hero and that’s what she wanted to be remembered as,” Freeman-Frogge told the Indy Star’s Blake Schuster.
