Powerful thunderstorms roared through Baton Rouge on Monday, taking a few foul poles with it.
Both poles at LSU’s Alex Box Stadium were leveled by the storm. The left-field pole succumbed inward, falling onto the grass while the right-field pole fell backwards beyond the outfield fence.
LSU is set to host Alcorn State on Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. Both teams have agreed to play without the foul poles, though temporary 20-foot poles could be put up before the game.
Our advice: Pull the ball and hope for the best.
The other foul pole at the Box is in the right field playground.
