Swift appears to have some fans in the building among the Lions’ new coaches. Offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn recently described Swift as a “three-down back”, and he echoed head coach Dan Campbell’s sentiment that the Lions should focus on getting Swift the ball in space. Running backs coach Duce Staley also predicts a big season for Swift in 2021, saying that his involvement in the passing game could earn him “upwards of 25 touches per contest”.
Swift played behind Adrian Peterson for most of his rookie season, but it appears as though he’s going to be much more involved next year.
