Latest in the long line of NBA players moonlighting as rappers (or is it the other way around?) is Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who’s enlisted some high-profile help for assists on his new album, The Letter O, which came out late Thursday night.
The first song on the album – which this author has not listened to yet — is called “Bill Walton,” which is cool at face value because it means someone named a song after Bill Walton. Lillard, excuse me, Dame D.O.L.L.A., runs through the trials and tribulations of his career on the album and scores features from Lil Wayne and Jamie Foxx, but more importantly, Juvenile, among others.
