Leonard Fournette Puts Foot Down on Sitting Out Junior Year

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio wrote a column on Wednesday arguing Leonard Fournette should sit out his junior year. The LSU running back was not interested.

Fournette quelled any talk of him possibly skipping out on his junior year with this tweet:

I will never jump ship… I’m drowning with my brothers

Since Fournette is a true sophomore and just two years removed from high school and will not be eligible for the NFL Draft until 2017. Florio said that since he’s maxed out his draft value, there’s no point in risking injury and playing for little to no compensation when the NFL looms.
