It doesn’t seem likely, but Willie Cauley-Stein could one day sign a nine-figure contract. Larry Bird, however, thinks it’s imminent.
According to IndyStar’s Candace Buckner, Bird told Cauley-Stein during his meeting with the Pacers that he thought he’s a $100 million player.
WCS on his meeting w/ #Pacers: “Larry (Bird) told me, ‘I think you’re a $100 million dollar player.’ I hear that and I’m like, ‘Really?!’”

It caught WCS by surprise, as it likely did all basketball fans. Cauley-Stein will be a lottery pick, likely in the top 10, but he certainly doesn’t profile offensively like an eventual hundred-million-dollar player.
