It’s a huge blow for the Charlotte Hornets as LaMelo Ball is expected to miss the rest of the season with a wrist fracture. The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Hornets’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night.
Ball was having a tremendous rookie season and was in the Rookie of the Year conversation before going down with the injury. Ball was averaging 15.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, all of which ranked him within the top three in rookie stats.
The Hornets will reportedly seek a second opinion on Ball’s injury.
