Whether we like it or not, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ is a prime time TV juggernaut. It’s a competition show phenomenon that appears to be here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.
And while it often gives the spotlight back to celebrities we’d forgotten for a reason (I’m look at you, Shanna Moakler and Redfoo) it also does the same for celebrities we are still super fond of – even if it’s just due to nostalgia. Kristi Yamaguchi and Nancy Kerrigan are two such stars. They haven’t been part of mainstream pop culture since the 1990’s, but they are figure skating icons and an integral chapter in American Olympic history.
