This just in: Chicks shred. Brooke Crain is just about the last type you’d expect to see on a BMX track, but it’s been her passion since she learned to ride a bike. And now she’s on a mission.
Inspired by motocross, BMX racing took off in California in the 1970s, and has evolved until it became an Olympic sport in 2008 in Beijing. Crain was part of the U.S. team in 2012 in London — both her crowning achievement and biggest regret.
During her first run in the seeding event in the Games, Crain lost control and crashed out, finishing last.
