Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegraph reports Texas Rangers outfielder Khris Davis has a Grade 2 quad strain and is expected to miss three to four weeks.
Davis joined the team this offseason after spending five seasons with the Oakland Athletics, appeared in 617 games, batting .240 with 158 home runs. During the 2020 season, he played 30 games, with a .200 batting average and .303 OBP.
The eight-year veteran has split time in the outfield and as a designated hitter posting a .243 batting average and .316 for his career.
He is expected to join the team in mid-April, which will boost the lineup featuring Nate Lowe, Joey Gallo and Rougned Odor.
