Kentucky Gubernatorial Candidate Unleashes Heinous Insult, Calls Opponent “Chrsitian Laettner”

We’ve seen political candidates throw their opponents many a heinous, terrible barb. But Kentucky Republican gubernatorial candidate James Comer might have gone a step too far.

During a primary debate on Kentucky Sports Radio on Wednesday, Comer called his opponent Hal Heiner the “Christian Laettner” of Kentucky politics.

The campaign between these two has been particularly messy. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Comer accused the Heiner camp of paying people off to make accusations about him, including a woman who accused him of abusing her physically and emotionally 25 years ago.

Whatever the case, that insult definitely doesn’t have the same effect in North Carolina.
