The Jets already upgraded their receiving by signing Corey Davis, and they’ll be adding another weapon for whoever is under center next season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Cole will sign with the Jets for one year and $5.5M, and he gives the team some depth at receiver behind Davis, Jamison Crowder, and Denzel Mims. Schefter adds that Cole was a hot commodity in the free agent market, drawing as much or more interest than some of the marquee wide receivers.
Cole spent the past four seasons with the Jaguars, and he struggled to find consistent playing time.
