In case you missed it, Jordan Spieth absolutely nailed a beautiful eagle shot at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Saturday. Spieth sent the shot from 160 yards out and got just the right spin on the carpet to drop his second eagle of the weekend.
The concerning part is that, after opening the tournament with a seven-under 65 on Thursday, Spieth has been progressively worse as the tournament progressed. He shot a -1 on Saturday but still holds a two-shot lead ahead of Sunday’s final round.
This is familiar territory for Spieth as he went into last week’s final round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open tied for the lead but fell back to tied-fourth after shooting a 72 on Sunday.
