Jonathan Quick Unavailable Monday

Los Angeles Kings head coach Todd McLellan confirmed that Jonathan Quick is unavailable tomorrow when the Kings take on the St. Louis Blues. Monday night will be the fifth straight game that Quick misses as he deals with an upper-body injury.

Quick’s in the autumn of his career. He’s had three consecutive seasons of decreased save percentages and increased goals-against-averages. Quick and Cal Petersen have been deployed in a 1A/1B role this season, although Petersen is starting to emerge as the primary goaltender.

Quick was added to the injured reserve effective March 6, which has meant increased minutes for Petersen and a chance for Troy Grosenick to get his first start since the 2014-15 season.
