Jonas Valanciunas Ruled Out Monday

The Memphis Grizzlies official PR account confirmed that Jonas Valanciunas would miss Monday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, as he remains in health and safety protocols.

Valanciunas hasn’t played since January 16 but has only missed two games as the Grizz had to postpone five games due to covid-19 concerns. Valanciunas leads the team in rebounds, ranks third in points per game, and has been a critical component of the team’s defense. Xavier Tillman has started for Valanciunas and averaged 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds over the last two games. The Grizzlies’ offense will continue to go through Ja Morant, who leads the team in points and assists per game.
