Jon Rahm started the Memorial Tournament with a modest -3 in the opening round before going -15 over the next two rounds, including -8 on moving day to assert himself atop the leaderboard. Rahm finished his third round with nine birdies and one bogey.
Alas, it was all for naught as the third-ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to withdraw from the tournament with the lead. We wish Rahm a speedy recovery from the virus.
