ESPN has a “30 for 30” coming out on November 1 that probably should’ve dropped back in 2009 when the series first started, because there’s hardly a more interesting/entertaining/sad/exciting topic in professional sports than the life and times of one John Patrick Daly. Judging by the trailer, “Hit It Hard” looks poised to join the upper echelon of “30 for 30” sports documentaries, alongside “Rand University”, “I Hate Christian Laettner” and their critically acclaimed mini-series “O.J.: Made in America”.
