The Detroit Pistons will be without two of their frontcourt mainstays when they travel to Sacramento to take on the Kings Thursday night. Mason Plumlee is out with a concussion, and Jerami Grant is out with a knee injury, as reported by Rod Beard.
Plumlee and Grant have each started 48 of the Pistons’ 51 games this season and have combined for the highest win-shares on the team at 4.3 and 3.1, respectively, as calculated by Basketball-Reference. Their absences will create space for role players to step up and increase their contributions.
Tyler Cook played the most minutes off the bench among forwards last time out and figures to be in the starting lineup against the Kings, leaving Sekou Doumbouya to come off the bench.
