After missing Boston’s past two games, Jeff Teague will return for their home game against the Wizards. Teague has been dealing with a left ankle injury that forced him out of the Celtics lineup. Despite the point guard’s absence, Boston went 2-0 to improve their season record to 6-3. Rookie Payton Pritchard has seen an uptick in playing time with Teague on the shelf and has played well in the veteran’s leave. Pritchard put up career-bests with 23 points and eight assists in Boston’s win over the Raptors in a career-high 32 minutes on Monday. The Celts may want to see some more of their freshman, but it’s more than likely Teague will eat into his playing time Friday night.
