Santa Clara junior guard Jalen Williams couldn’t be found on a single mock draft a month ago. He had recently wrapped up his third season with the Broncos, where he averaged 18.0 points per game on a team that received little to no national attention. Williams made the All-WCC First Team, and the next question was what the offseason had in store for him.
The 21-year-old was just one of the many to throw their hat in the ring for the NBA Draft with a chance to receive feedback and return to college for his senior year. Becoming a first-round selection in the 2022 NBA Draft was a pipe dream for the Arizona native.
