Clowney is coming off a season where he played just eight games, and he will be headed to another new team in 2021. He has reportedly inked a one-year deal with the Browns worth up to $10M in a move that will be beneficial for both parties. The Browns ranked just 19th in adjusted sack rate last season, even though Myles Garrett racked up 12.0 sacks. Olivier Vernon added 9.0 sacks, but no one else on the team finished with more than 4.5. Vernon is no longer with the team — he’s currently an unrestricted free agent coming off an Achilles tear at the end of last season — so Clowney will presumably fill his role on defense.
