The last you heard of Adam Muema, he had just prematurely left the 2014 NFL Combine because he was “following God” and devoting himself to a self-proclaimed Messiah in one of the most bizarre moments in recent sports history.
It’s also probably the first you had heard of Muema, a star San Diego State running back who had declared early for the NFL draft and was expected to be a mid-to-late-round pick before going AWOL in Indianapolis and eventually walking away from football.
