According to the PGA Tour’s official Twitter, former Masters Champion Hideki Matsuyama has been disqualified from The Memorial Tournament due to a non-conforming club (4.1a).

Speaking with reporters, Chief Referee Steve Rintoul gave a detailed explanation on what exactly led to Matsuyama being disqualified:
“Our committee became aware through some pictures that were posted that there may be a substance that has been painted on the face of one of Hideki’s clubs,” said Rintoul.
