Nate Boyer played for a half of a minute in the NFL. His career in professional football lasted a few plays in the preseason with the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. It’s all fairly unimpressive; that is until you realize that he graduated high school in 1999.
In between graduating high school and enrolling at the University of Texas in 2010, he worked on a fishing boat, moved to Hollywood to try his hand at acting, was a relief worker in Sudan building camps for refugees of the War in Darfur, and eventually enlisted in the United States Army and was accepted into the Green Berets.
