Is it any wonder that George R.R. Martin hasn’t finished his latest novel? The author is busy helping to develop (count ’em) four Game of Thrones spinoff series for HBO, the network announced today. There are two seasons of the current series yet to go — but with Season 7 set at only even episodes, and the final Season 8 rumored to be only six — the network had o take action sooner rather than later.
Most of the assigned writers have experience writing major theatrical films, and Martin is personally involved in two of the projects.
