Andrew Luck is currently in the fifth-year option of the 4-year, $22,107,998 contract he signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a rookie, meaning that he’ll make about $16.5 million in 2016 as opposed to $10.2 million per season before. Then the Colts, unless they’re insane, will sign him to a lucrative extension.
What that will be is anyone’s guess, but it could top Aaron Rodgers’ five-year, $110 million deal signed in 2013. That buys a lot of books (one of Luck’s passions — he even started a book club with the Colts). But what else could it buy?
