The Toronto Raptors will be without starting shooting guard Fred VanVleet when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday night. Josh Lewenberg reports that it has to do with managing VanVleet’s hip injury as the Raps are on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Raps are thin at shooting guard, as Lewenberg also notes that Gary Trent Jr. and Paul Watson remain out. Look for DeAndre’ Bembry to get his 12th start of the season; he’s had limited success in the starting lineup, averaging 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.7 minutes per game in the starting lineup.
