Possibly the most inexplicable show business success story is that of Michael Strahan — the New York Giants defensive end who retired in 2007 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014. No journalist who had to deal with Strahan as a player would have guessed that he’d one day be the replacement for the affable Regis Philbin on the syndicated Live! With Regis and Kelly TV show, but somehow that happened.
Strahan has trouble forming coherent sentences, and was a bit of a douchebag with the press.
