I used to be in favor of abolishing the kickoff in football, at all levels. But that was before I saw this.
Auburn’s Daniel Carlson was kicking off to LSU, the visiting team, this past Saturday when student photographer Ashley Ward noticed the ball sailing out of the end zone and heading right toward her. So she got ready to catch it — thus becoming a hero before 87,000 fans and proving that one can be blonde, pretty and athletically gifted.
But the football and her face had other plans.
