Fantasy owners and Philadelphia 76ers fans were excited to see Australian import F Ben Simmons selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. After years of rebuilding, the Sixers have pieced together an outstanding core of young talent that appears ready to jell and take a step forward. Well, Simmons won’t be taking any steps anytime soon.
Simmons (foot) suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone of his right foot and it appears he will be sidelined approximately six weeks to two months while recovering.
