Twitter has a lot of uses — trying out jokes, breaking news, doing whatever it is Peter Gammons thinks he’s doing — but it’s undeniably disorganized. For example, if you’re looking to follow a live event, you end up having to sift through the various hashtags associated with the event, or search up users who might be tweeting about it, or just search up things associated with the event and hope you find something that isn’t just trolls slamming curses into their keyboards. Facebook, on the other hand, is way more structured, which makes it great for sharing photos, videos and news stories, but it’s rarely used as a resource for up-to-the-second information.
