Elliott has not practiced with the team each of the past two days due to a calf injury, but he has been doing resistance training on the sidelines. That said, the team reportedly remains optimistic that Elliott will be able to suit up on Sunday vs. the 49ers according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.
With Elliott at less than 100%, it would not be surprising if Tony Pollard saw a spike in usage this week. Pollard already cut into Elliott’s playing time last week vs. the Bengals – he played on 37% of the offensive snaps – and he finished with just one fewer carry and one fewer target.
