In his introduction, 34-year-old Michael mentions playing for the Socceroos and representing Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games as a highlight of his life.
Michael Turnbull represented Australia a handful of times in youth teams, not the Socceroos. He was also in the Australian squad for the 2000 Olympics, but never actually made it into the pitch.
Turnbull has played a handful of games in Australia’s premier soccer competition, The A League. He played six games for the New Zealand Knights in the 06/07 season, and was last year picked up by the Melbourne Victory as an injury replacement player, but again, never made it on to the pitch.
