Elias Pettersson has been downgraded to out against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. Marc Michaelis will make his NHL debut for the Vancouver Canucks in his place.
There will be plenty of ice time up for grabs with Petterson out, including his spot on the top powerplay unit. That could mean a promotion for Pearson onto the first powerplay line and a spot for Bo Horvat between JT Miller and Brock Boeser.
The price shifted in favor of the Leafs on the Pettersson news, with the Canucks now listed as +142 dogs.
