Dustin Brown was a late scratch for the Los Angeles Kings Sunday. Brown’s injury is listed as an upper-body injury, and it’s keeping him out of action against the Colorado Avalanche.
Brown typically skates on the Kings’ top-line with Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe and is used across all strengths. Brown has had a resurgent year in 2021. Thanks to impressive production and defensive metrics, he’s the team leader in Corsi percentage and expected goals-for percentage.
Alex Iafallo was promoted to first-line duty, with Brown ruled out. Iafallo missed the Friday night game against these same Avs with an illness but is healthy enough for first-line minutes.
