The intersection of campus sexual assault and college athletics had one of its ugliest episodes in 2006 when three Duke lacrosse players were falsely accused of raping stripper Crystal Mangum at a party. Reade Seligmann, Collin Finnerty and David Evans were eventually exonerated when the North Carolina attorney general dropped the case 13 months later, but only after Duke — and the court of public opinion — irreversibly changed the lives of all involved.
Now nine years removed from the original accusations and eight years removed from the end of the case, everyone involved has moved on and into stark new chapters of their lives.
