Mitchell was a late scratch in the Jazz 112-109 loss Sunday due to an ankle injury after reportedly being active earlier in the day. Mitchell last played in the regular-season finale, a 119-111 win against the Indiana Pacers, leaving the game early due to the injury. He played 21 minutes, scoring 22 points, four rebounds and two assists. This season, as a primary playmaker for the team, he has averaged 33 minutes, 26 points, four rebounds and five assists, also leading the team in usage with a 33.
