Chicago Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler pulled off what will probably go down in history as one of the greatest teammate moves of all time, buying 108 bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Fowler bought the enormous order of scotch whiskey for his Cubs teammates, coaches and front office to be delivered at the time of Friday’s championship parade.
The idea for the gift dates back to the beginning of the season when Fowler bought two bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label for manager Joe Maddon. One bottle was labeled with the team’s mantra “Embrace the Target,” meanwhile the other one was left blank so it could be engraved at a later date.
