DeMarcus Cousins and the Houston Rockets are parting ways. Boogie has played 25 games for the Rockets, starting 11 of them.
After sitting out all of last season, 2021 has been a bit of a struggle for the veteran big man. Boogie is averaging 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds this season, which are easily the lowest averages of his career. The most notable difference has been his shooting percentage, as Cousins is shooting 37.6% compared to his career average of 45.9%. There’s no word yet on Cousins’ next steps.
This is the second veteran the Rockets have moved on from after trading James Harden earlier in the season.
