Price spent nearly a month on the IL with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain, but he was activated on May 17th. He made an appearance in Tuesday’s game vs. the Diamondbacks, pitching a scoreless inning of relief with zero baserunners allowed. He’s pitched exclusively out of the bullpen to start the year, but the Dodgers’ current injury situation will force Price to the mound to start Thursday’s contest vs. the Diamondbacks. He’s expected to serve as the opener, pitching just one or two innings before handing things off to the bullpen.
It will be interesting to see if the Dodgers look to make Price a permanent addition to their starting rotation moving forward.
