The Minnesota Timberwolves will once again be shorthanded on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks, although, to what extent remains to be seen. Karl-Anthony Towns is doubtful as he remains in the league’s health and safety protocols. D’Angelo Russell is listed as questionable with right quad soreness.
Towns has been absent since January 13 but was limited before that with a wrist injury. Consequently, he’s only played in four games this season. Russell missed the T-Wolves 120-118 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday but otherwise has played in 19 of Minnesota’s 23 games.
Ricky Rubio started in Russell’s place in that game and was held mostly in check.
