It’s encouraging that D’Angelo Russell is nearing a return to action following left knee surgery, but his status for Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings remains doubtful. The Minnesota Timberwolves PR team confirmed that he, Malik Beasley, Ricky Rubio, and Jaylen Nowell are all resolving injuries and doubtful to play. That means the T-Wolves will have to look a little further down their depth chart to figure out who is starting in the backcourt.
Russell last played on February 8, but the three other players are recent absentees. Rubio has missed the last two games, Beasley missed the previous game, and Monday will be Nowell’s first absence.
