Dan Arnold has signed a two-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. The tight end set a career-high last season with 438 receiving yards on 45 targets and four touchdowns.
Arnold played in all 16 games for the Arizona Cardinals, starting in five of them. Over four seasons, Arnold has played with the Cardinals and New Orleans Saints, catching 51 passes for 715 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Panthers are in desperate need of help at the tight end position. Ian Thomas was the leading receiver with 145 yards in 16 games. Thomas’s 20 receptions on 31 targets amounted to less than two targets a game and a shade over one reception for 9.
