Curt Schilling has been in the news for plenty of controversial statements in recent times, making so many that we tend to forget that he was a pretty good baseball player in his own right, a six-time All-Star who tallied over 3,000 strikeouts over a 20-year career.
One thing that has remained fairly constant with Schilling’s post-baseball career is the fact he has never dealt fairly well with the media, and the hate flowed through Schilling freely during a phone interview with Gabriel Morency on FNTSY Sports Network. With two years of his Hall of Fame eligibility down and no plaque in Cooperstown for the time being, Schilling apparently has spent his free time…time not spent running 38 Studios…launching a little investigation as to why he’s not immortalized just yet…
Animosity between athletes and the writers who cover them is certainly nothing new, and it’s not a “trend” going away anytime soon.
