The Cubs are 11-3 and the only team with a winning record in the National League Central — giving their wan and thirsty fans a legitimate reason for optimism. But just when things are looking up, a Cubs fan has created possibly another devastating curse — one that could make the Curse of the Billy Goat look like child’s play.
It happened in Wrigleyville after the team’s home opener last week, when 29-year-old Daniel Ehle of Lyons was leaving the game with his girlfriend. Ehle came upon a police horse and decided it would be a good idea to slap the animal in the hindquarters.
