Sports teams across North America have had to contend with covid-19 and NHL teams are no different.
The Vancouver Canucks were the most recent NHL team to cancel practise Sunday morning. John Shannon notes that the Canucks join the Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets as teams that have had to cancel practices due to covid-19 concerns. The Canucks and Penguins are scheduled to kick their respective seasons off on Wednesday, with the Stars and Blue Jackets getting started Thursday.
The NHL has already condensed their schedule, so team outbreaks could be problematic for completing the season on time, with teams playing the same number of games.
